Exercise is important to increase physical strength, slow down aging, develop muscle and cardiovascular systems, develop athletic skills, lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Moreover, now that the incidence of the disease is increasing, we have to maintain the activity of the body.  “regular exercise reduces the risk of about two dozen physical and mental illnesses. It can slow down our aging”.

According to the IJCP, The International Journal of Clinical Practice, published in December 2010, regular physical activity is the most effective way to improve one’s lifestyle, excluding smoking.

Now the question may come, is it really possible to prevent disease by exercising ?? Yes it is possible. Dr. James Dillard said:

“According to the important information we have, daily practice can reduce all the causes of mortality to some extent.”


What diseases can be prevented ??



Heart Disease –



It is very important to maintain good heart health to keep our blood circulation and respiratory system active. Useful along with exercise to prevent heart disease.



Regular practice –

  1. To reduce blood pressure
  2. To maintain a healthy weight
  3. Helps reduce cholesterol.

These three factors play a key role in preventing heart disease. Walking, running, cycling, jumping rope, as well as some breathing exercises like pranayama will keep our heart’s  health good. According to doctors, moderate activity of 150 minutes per week should be maintained.



Arthritis –
